The Road Boss Rally is an annual adventure style motoring event that travels deep into the heart of the Australian bush. Travelling around 3,500km over some pretty challenging and inspiring terrain, the RBR takes you into the heart and soul of Australia’s outback and accesses country that is in most cases “off limits”. It’s adventurous, it’s a challenge and it’s a heck of a lot of fun. Each year the Road Boss Rally raises and donates over $250,000.00 to charity.
Peter Harman became hookedon doing rallies after going with a mate on last year’s Road Boss Rally & seeing first hand the unreal work/effort/support that goes toward the communities that we visit along with the charity they support.
With the event encouragingolder 2wd cars (20yrs +) with character, the Red Brother Car 66 Team decided on a 1976 Ford LTD as their vehicle of choice for the rally.
The Red Brothers Car 66 team of Peter, Dave & Neil have beenbusy preparing the LTD for the rally. Basically every part of the LTD is being overhauled and or upgraded for the rigorous journey ahead.
One of the essential upgrades for the rally is the installation of an auxiliary battery to power the teams fridge. Betta Batteries have proudly supplied a 6-EVFJ-80 Lead Crystal Battery for this purpose and wish the team all the best for the upcoming rally.
Stay tuned for more Red Brothers Car 66 updates, as we get closer to the event.
The 2019 Road Boss Rally kicks of on July 8thfrom Cowra and travels to Caloundra via the ‘Dig Tree’ .
